Emi does find out that her mother is Lailah, the archangel, in The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2. The two had their first encounter in Episode 3, where a young woman in white asked Emi to help her find a ring that contains a purple gem. The said gem caught Emi’s attention and the woman assured her that she is not the enemy and that she knows Emi’s identity.
